Ryman Healthcare COVID-19 update March 27, 2020
Thanks for your tremendous cooperation and support this week.
It has been a huge week for you all, and for all our teams around Victoria and New Zealand.
We’re delighted with the speed at which everyone has adapted to a fast-changing set of circumstances.
We wanted to remind you of the rules in place while the Federal and Victorian governments impose restrictions to help stop the spread COVID-19.
For all our residents and their families this means:
Care centres and serviced apartments are closed to visitors.
Visits will only be allowed in exceptional circumstances – for families of residents in end-of-life or palliative care.
These visitors must wear face masks and follow careful protocols.
Our independent residents must stay in their own households.
This is of vital importance and is what the Government is asking of all us.
You should not need to leave the village unless you have an urgent medical need.
We are closed to all visitors.
All the communal facilities in our village centres, including our bowling greens and pools, are closed.
Family or friends delivering groceries or medical essentials can drop them at the gate, and our team will deliver them to residents.
Our team is there to help with anything our residents need.
Please follow the rules and isolate yourself in your household.
If you stay at home, you will save lives.
We are rolling out additional food services.
We have delivered our second Happy Hour in a Bag, we will be delivering fresh milk, bread and a packet of biscuits for morning and afternoon teas, and we are arranging for grocery deliveries from Bidfood for those who want them.
We can also drop your online groceries deliveries to you.
We have had a lot of interest in these services.

Remember that they are an alternative to your families and friends dropping your shopping at the gate.
We have started to deliver regular updates and we are finding different ways for you to keep in touch.
We have a team carrying out welfare calls, please let us know if you would like us to get in touch with someone you know, who might appreciate a call.
To keep you healthy at home, our popular Triple A fitness classes are now online at https://www.rymanhealthcare.com.au/lifestyle-and-wellness/health-wellbeing/triple-a-exercises
How to keep in touch with us:
Your first point of contact is your village team, so if your query is urgent contact your village directly.
For less urgent inquiries please contact us on 1800 288 299 or by emailing email@example.com
For residents who are online, you can find wellbeing advice at www.rymanhealthcare.com.au/wellness
If you need counselling, you are welcome to call our OCP service on 1800 273 865. Just let them know you are a Ryman resident and the village you are from.
Please keep in touch with your loved ones
We will do everything we can to help you keep in touch during this period.
The best way to connect is by phone, and we are offering other ways to keep people in contact, including video calls.
Please don’t be afraid to call your loved one to see how they are doing.
Once again, please remember that we are here to help, so do not hesitate to let us know how we can do so.
Thanks again to everyone for your understanding.
Stay safe everyone.
