Hawaiian chicken

Approx cooking time: 30 min

INGREDIENTS

300g chicken, cut into serving pieces
1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
Pinch of ground ginger
1/4 green pepper, cut into chunks
1/4 can (80g) mandarin oranges, drained (reserve syrup)
1/4 can (65g) pineapple slices, drained and halved
(reserve syrup)
1/2 tablespoon flour

 

Method

1. In baking dish, arrange chicken. Meatier portions
toward edge of dish; brush with soy sauce blended with
ginger. Add green pepper; heat, covered with paper,
15 minutes on high, drain. Let stand, covered, 10
minutes.
2. Meanwhile, in 2-cup glass measure, blend flour with
1/4 cup reserved syrups. Heat 2 minutes on high,
stirring once.
3. Add fruit and pour over chicken; if necessary, heat
