An immersive growing experience

Partnering with the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show was a natural fit. We love gardens, they love gardens, you love gardens.

We planned to deliver an immersive growing experience back in 2020 when the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show was first interrupted. And we are excited to have finally delivered that experience now, in 2022.

Every visit to the Ryman stall is an interactive one. We have created experiences that are a treat for the senses. Attendees could taste, smell, and see their way around our interactive space at the exquisite heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens.

Ryman in bloom at International Flower and Garden Show

Ryman Healthcare’s debut at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show presented by Scotts Osmocote has been heralded as an important addition to Australia’s biggest celebration of all things horticulture.

Landscape and design industry expert Matt Leacy said the inaugural Balcony Gardens Competition, sponsored by Ryman, recognised the future of gardening.

“Adding it to a show like this is really important because not everyone has those big blocks, so it’s really important to show how much can be done with a small space,” Matt said.

Ryman and Matt Leacy

While the show could not go on in 2020, our partnership with landscaping superstar Matt

Leacy did. We’ve been working with Matt for the past two years, sharing his gardening wisdom with our Ryman community – and beyond – at every opportunity. And we’re excited to have brought Matt to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show in 2022.

A preeminent expert in his field, Matt has graced Australian magazines and television and is a regular columnist imparting practical advice for gardeners of any age, capability, and expertise. His pioneering spirit has fueled an 20-year career in the Australian landscape and garden design industry and seen him become the current President of the LNA Master Landscapers Association.

Matt’s mission is to share his knowledge with other passionate people and encourage everyone to enjoy gardening and outdoor design. He held daily presentations on the Mainstage as well as free 1:1 workshops.
